All you need to gr(know)la.
Updated: Jul 16, 2020
I think we all have a love-hate relationship with granola. We can find it in the "health food" section, yet someone always is there to remind us that it is full of calories, sugar and unfamiliar ingredients. After over a decade of putting granola in the same category as pizza, bread and ice cream, I decided to make it myself. Thanks to these 7 simple ingredients, I've been enjoying it every morning, feeling guilt-free & energized! Here is all you will need to gra(know)la.
Ingredients
2 cups of dry organic oats
1/4th cup of raw pepitas
1/8th cup of raw pecans
2 tablespoons of maple syrup
Around 2 large spoonfuls of coconut oil
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
2 pinches of salt

Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Spread oats, pepitas & pecans evenly on to baking sheet.
In order, evenly disperse coconut oil, maple syrup, cinnamon & salt. Place in oven for 10 minutes.
Take baking sheet out of the oven, and mix ingredients together with wooden spoon. Place back in oven for 20 minutes or until golden-brown.
Let cool & enjoy with oatmeal, greek yogurt or even as a salad topping.
*Note: For those baking at sea level, this recipe may cook slightly quicker than above. Either bake at 350 degrees or for less time.
This baked creation makes a great gift for the holidays when you don't want to go anywhere empty-handed too!
